More than two decades ago, a small group of friends followed their urge to venture off the beaten track, leading to an unforgettable experience that would eventually define Maloja. It was this exceptional powder day in the mountains of Maloja, a small, remote alpine village in the Swiss Engadine, that inspired our brand name. And to this day, we still rely on our intuition – as well as on the drive to explore and to innovate. The commitment to our own, distinctive path has always been the Maloja leitmotif – and, therefore, we’re dedicating this year’s collection theme to LA VIA.

Even the concept of introducing a new design theme every year is rather unusual in our industry. Yet, we never aimed to meet expectations. Our creativity is fueled by fresh perspectives, by new explorations and novel insights. This time for LA VIA, we have decided to adopt the bird’s-eye view and look down on our geographical surroundings from high above: When you take a closer look at the colorful labels, abstract florals, and graphic background patterns, you will spot the Maloja headquarters.

One thing we also wanted to highlight in LA VIA: Once you let go of the quest for perfection, you will discover the beauty of imperfection. This is where you find freedom and authenticity. In LA VIA you will see it in the dynamics of torn grid pattern, the flowing watercolors or the playful graphics that have been designed by the kids of our Maloja team in our annual creative workshops.
