Before Peter and Klaus founded Maloja in 2004, the word jokingly got a synonym for everything "beautiful" and "good". From day one "Maloja" was more than a label, it was an attitude and a way of life. Something that you don't just strip of while getting off the bike or unstraping your skies. Something that you also wanted to show in everyday life. This desire led to the streetwear collection becoming an increasingly important part of Maloja.
FROM FACTORY TO FASHION
The aesthetics of work wear has been established in the world of street wear for years. Its simplicity and longevity inspires us. High quality fabrics and a good cut are enough. The worker dungarees FigerhornM. is made of organic cotton and therefore abrasion-resistant and particularly durable. Their large patch pockets are based on classical work design, but don't worry - they're not only made for tools!
UNDYED
Chosing organic cotton is an important first step. But there are ways to save even more water and to make sure that less chemicals are needed. Giving up bleaching or dyeing fabrics is one of those possibilities. At Maloja we call it what it is - Undyed. For the T-shirt EdoloM. we used an oversized cut and dropped shoulders. The bike motif on the chest is one of our favorite artworks from the LA VIA collection, painted by our designer Anne-Sophie.
The processing of undid materials saves the resources of water, chemicals and energy required for bleaching and dyeing processes. Clothing that is largely left in its natural state is a contribution to reducing the ecological footprint.

In the development of LA VIA's philosophy, we have come across various patterns and findings that have inspired
us to create different designs. These recurring thoughts and findings are often the basis of our
inspiration for the concrete implementation in design. For LA VIA, we focus on three visual principles
that are reflected in different ways in the designs of this collection.
