Just two years ago, a young talent named Campbell Wright competed for New Zealand in the Junior World Championships in biathlon. A classic underdog role. In the end, it was the gold medal - and the start of a career that was to reach a new peak this weekend: two silver medals at the IBU World Championships in Lenzerheide.

The Ötztal Cycle Marathon is a monument. The course over four Alpine passes puts many cycling races in the shade - and with 5,500 metres of altitude diDerence, it puts the participants in a battle with themselves and lets everyone chase their own dream. But how does a cycling marathon like this work if you don't ride it alone? How can the Ötzi become something greater than overcoming one's own limits?

To the south you have the bustling waterfront. The fjord snakes its way to Aker Brygge, Oslo’s modern harbor quarter, for 100 kilometers from the North Sea. In Kontiolahti, Finland, the insane alternation between sprinting and absolute concentration when shooting is finally back on the agenda. Just under 200 kilometers to the north, the United States national team has gathered in Vuokatti for the final fine-tuning and mood test. A story about high expectations, the smell of wax and an extra dose of motivation.

It’s a sustainability topic that is often overlooked by the media: every day, manufacturing facilities around the globe generate tons of fabric leftovers. Around 15–20% of the material are destined for disposal sites like incineration plants. While it is impossible to avoid fabric scraps, it is not impossible to reuse them.

Almost a year later, we are sitting comfortably in front of the screen on YouTube and are touched by this encounter between two such different generations. There are days in early spring when the mornings are still quite cold and the snow crackles under your cross country skis. Later in the day the air warms up. And while riding a lap on your mountain bike in the afternoon on the beautiful, dry southern trail, you can hardly believe it was still so cold in the morning during those first cross-country runs. The fact you were even in the snow at all that morning seems incredibly far away.

The Nordmarka unfolds just 10 kilometers from the city center of Oslo, boasting (as they say) „the finest network of trails near a city worldwide“. It encompasses 1,200 km of gravel and asphalt routes and numerous lakes. For those accustomed to the Alps, Nordmarka proves to be an almost surreal experience: vast openness, solitude, immense expanses, and lakes in a multitude of shades and colors. The days we spent in this landscape were intense and moving - days that will resonate for a long time.
