INSPIRATION DEVELOPMENT

We want to give people the best possible clothing for any weather while preserving nature and environment. To achieve this, we developed our own sustainable shell series: cembra^®.

We like its comparison to tree bark. The shell protects people just like the bark of a tree protects against the elements.

One particulary resilient tree is the Swiss stone pine. It braves any weather, is extremely hardy in the cold and can live over 1,000 years. PINUS CEMBRA is its latin designation. That’s how we came up with the name cembra^® for the Maloja shell series.

Our goal is to deliver products with uncompromising, long-lasting protection in wind and weather. That´s why we test each of our products to their limits.

TECHNOLOGY & SUSTAINABILITY

But when developing the cembra^® series we cared about sustainability just as much as about functionality. When it comes to preserving nature and environment, we are just as unwiling to compromise.

• The main material used for cembra^®products is recycled polyester.

• All cembra^® products are treated with an environmentally friendly, PFC-free durable water-repellent finish.

• cembra^® RESIST, cembra^® LIGHT, cembra^® SHELTER and cembra^® STORM materials are completely recyclable after use.
  
  For us the cembra^® shell series is a milestone on the path to an increasingly sustainable future.
